Why Fitness Festivals are the New Music Festivals
Music festivals have become the epicenter of summer culture. The droves of crowds getting wild to all different kinds of music, camping out and partying for an entire weekend. It’s what Instagram dreams are made of.
Or is it?
While music festivals may be fun, fitness festivals take them up a notch. Picture the strobe lights and party atmosphere sans the flower headbands and add workout gear.
We caught up with the international Les Mills Live tour during its U.S. stop in Philadelphia, Penn., to see how they’re taking festival season to another level.
From Paris to Shanghai this packed workout tour is a testament to the growing popularity of fitness festivals and a global love for group exercise. While these stages may be filled with famous instructors versus famous music acts, we’re not mad at it.

We were there as thousands of people sweated it out this weekend.
These festivals are filled with people of different skill levels who like to have a good time and want to keep up with a healthy lifestyle. You’ll definitely work hard and get your sweat on, crushing water bottles instead of beer bottles.

From expert trainers keeping you on your toes the entire weekend to awesome tracks blaring throughout the day as you tone up, fitness festivals are the best of both worlds.
And if you need a bit more convincing, here are seven photos that prove why fitness festivals are the new music festivals!
