Who are you in 90 characters or less? I’m a no-nonsense coach who empowers others to figure out how awesome they really are, then build the life they want.

Why do you teach/train? 
I believe in strength, both mental and physical. Coaching gives me the opportunity to help others realize their true potential and empower them to live amazing lives. It’s not solely about the fitness; it’s about what being fit allows you to do and accomplish…so we use the tools of fitness, nutrition, mindset, and healthy habits to build the structure that creates that freedom.
 
What classes do you normally teach / what is your training expertise? 
As a lifelong athlete, I’m well versed in the difference between exercising and training. I own a CrossFit gym because it has proven to be the best data-driven and performance-based strength and conditioning program around. Being able to scale absolutely everything up and down multiple levels to meet each person where they need, then build a roadmap to constantly improve is invaluable.
 
How have you adapted your business to still inspire people at home?
We moved each of our athletes to our Remote Coaching program where they are in constant contact with a coach pre and post workout, almost daily. We adjust the programming to each person’s individual needs based on fitness level, available equipment, and how they’re feeling at the moment. In addition to the at-home workouts, we have online mobility sessions, weekly motivation calls, fun movement challenges, a 30-day habit-building program, game nights, and more.
 
What advice would you give to other fitness professionals to get through these times?
We’re in the relationship business. Put your people first and figure out how you can best help them in these crazy times. It’s likely a bit different from what they needed before the pandemic - pivoting from coaching workout movements to coaching healthy habits and behaviors while providing as much understanding and support as possible is the key to get us all through this together.
 
How can fitness professionals lift each other up right now?  
If you don’t already have an amazing network of professionals who cater to niche markets outside your specialty, use this time to reach out to other leaders in your area to start that conversation. On a bigger scale, follow and connect with those who share your same philosophy. Pay attention to their message; like and share their posts; reach out to say hello and possibly collaborate on something that can help others.
 
What is your favorite non-fitness outlet to cope with the current stress of the world? 
Curling up with a good book or getting the motorcycle out for a long ride on a beautiful sunny day.
 
How are you giving yourself #permissiontopause? 
I remind myself to focus only on what I can control and let go of the rest. Daily Wim Hof breathing helps me do that.
